Beginning on March 15th, 2023, 9th March Studios will actively develop a 90-minute feature-length animated film titled "Talata." This thought-provoking tale delves into the lives of individuals living in a rural village and an urban setting, exploring themes of determination, family, friendship, and the pursuit of dreams amidst adversity. "Talata" takes us on a journey to a small rural village grappling with the challenges of contaminated water. In 2017, a thought-provoking 12-minute student animation titled "Din'nche" shed light on the grave issue of child marriage in Northern Ghana. Created by Najilau Dramundu Atta Abdul Karim, the film captured the attention of audiences worldwide and sparked important conversations surrounding this deeply concerning practice. Now, after six years, Najilau is preparing to embark on an ambitious project: remaking and expanding "Din'nche" to further amplify the message and raise awareness on this critical issue. The upcoming version promises to delve deeper into the topic, employing enhanced animation techniques and a renewed narrative approach.

Tamale - June 08. Madam Juliet Yaa Asantewa Asante, Chief Executive Officer of National Flim Authority, has asked players in the film industry to use the internet to promote local movies to the world. She said the local film industry needed to use new technologies such as the Internet to distribute, exhibit, and market their films to the rest of the world. She made the call during the film's sector stakeholders meeting in Tamale organized by the National Flim Authority in partnership with Ghana Tourism Authority and funded by the World Bank.
